Great ocean view, with morning sunshine and afternoon shade. Loved watching whales, dolphins and turtles.

Was located in a beautiful location. We saw many sea turtles and sea monks from our balcony. They provided snorkeling gear, beach towels, and beach chairs. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing at the condo. I highly recommend.

This unit #202 had a great location. We walked to Poipu Beach and to the Spouting Horn. We walked on the other side of the parking lot to the Beach House Restaurant for a fine dining meal to celebrate our anniversary. We walked on the other side of that restaurant to snorkel without having to drive. We also snorkeled at Koloa Landing and Poipu Beach, only 1 and 2 miles away. We enjoyed the ocean view from our lanai and walked to the other side of the building to see the sunsets. Our unit was clean and had everything we needed. Glad there was paid laundry rooms in the building. We would definitely stay here again and again!

Unit was clean and spacious. The view is stunning, and being able to hear the ocean as you go to sleep is always a bonus. There are a few areas of the unit that are getting a little worn but still perfectly functional and didn't bother us at all. We love the snorkeling at Lawai beach next door; it's the best on the island in our opinion!

This condo has a great view of the sunrise and good ocean view. It is well laid out. It is convenient to the area. The only drawback is that it is fairly close to the road which can get noisy. Especially those who turn up the bass in their car stereos. The bathroom floor needed a good scrubbing especially in the corners. The rental company was great and very accommodating and I enjoyed the daily suggestions and up dates.

Let me start off by saying the location is absolutely amazing! Convenient to everything! The view is more of a a half road and half beach/water view but we didn’t mind that part! There wasn’t much road noise unless a loud car.
As for the unit, it could use some updating and a very deep clean. The while unit was just a little dingy feeling. Not overly dirty but just not clean either. We spent the first day cleaning just to give it a little more of a fresh feeling. The furniture (which I get is ratan and can be loud in general but the dining room chairs are a whole new level!!) was heavily used and not very comfortable. I know pull out beds are not known for being the best but this one was very used. It was just springs with fabric over them. If the unit is advertised to sleep 4 it should be expected the pull out will be used and it should at least be a usable mattress. I have seen their responses to this comment but it really should be addressed. The dresser in the bedroom is falling apart and the front is missing parts. The bed in the room was comfortable though.
Overall we would stay again at the property but look for a more updated unit and one on a top floor. The first week our unit was quite and pleasant but the second half on our stay the person above us was loud (sounded like they were constantly moving furniture and running a marathon) at all hours and it made for a less positive experience when trying to sleep or relax. The pictures are a little off from what it actually looks like but we had a great vacation and would be back. Check in was clear and easy. We didn’t need to speak with management so can’t say for that

Condo had excessive, unnecessary furniture that filled dining area and bedroom closet. For the amount that is charged and put towards cleaning, the floors,baseboards and mirrors were filthy. Windows were clean though. Vanity light in bathroom was rusted and not clean. We understand a modest priced condo vs others we have booked at Kuhio Shores, but this was decor, furniture choices showed age and lack of care by owners.

We really appreciated it the space and convenience of this 1 bedroom condo right on the water. The sound of the surf from the living room was lovely. The ac and fans were wonderful to have for the warmer part of the day. Fully stocked kitchen! We came to Kauai to do some diving at Niihau and the Koloa Landing...this was very convenient from the boat docks to get to and from. Great home-based and would stay again.

This was a nice condo to stay in, right on the ocean so you can listen the waves. Condo was spacious, lots of room. Furniture and appliances were a little outdated but still worked. Management was very nice and replied when a question was asked. Would recommend for anyone who likes to watch sunrises. This is not a resort so don't plan on the plushness of a resort. Would recommend the following places to eat. Bubba's Burgers within walking distance...great burgers. Keoki's has a great atmosphere along with Lava's in the Sheraton.

Unit 202 was a quiet and restful location for a portion of my visit to the beautiful island of Kauai. Overall property was very clean and welcoming. Ownership could consider some updates but very comfortable for me with a beautiful view of Turtle Bay and sunrises. I enjoyed reading several books in the unit's library. Would consider using it again for future visits. Making arrangements was easy and quick.

Ive stayed at Kuhio Shores a number of times in the past. It's a fantastic location, right on the water, and next to the Beach House which is a fine restaurant.

202 is in the part of the complex that is nearest to the road, and faces the cove rather than the open ocean (though you can see that from the balcony). My main concern was whether there would be noise from the road -- that was not a problem: there was some during the day, but it's quite during the evening, especially once the dinner hour at the Beach House is over.

202 was fine. I would say the unit could use a little updating and freshening -- in particular if the unit was closed up for a while it could smell a little dusty (this did not bother me, but might have been a problem for my wife as she is sensitive to such things had she been along). Anyway, while I was in the unit I just kept a door or window open (which I'd do for the breeze anyway), and it was fine.

In the one instance I needed assistance from the rental company -- getting a parking permit -- they responded quickly, pointing me to a person who could and did help me.

This unit was reasonably priced for Kuhio Shores, and I would not hesitate to rent this unit again.

I was comfortable with this property.
The facilities were kept clean and satisfying.
However, except that the lighting of the kitchen did not light up.
