Puu Poa is a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. We could hear the ocean all day (which we absolutely love!), we could walk down to the beach (in my opinion the best beach we visited), and we had plenty of room to lounge and relax. Parking was easy, location was great for getting to other places on the island, and it's a gorgeous area to explore. The Lanai is enclosed, which can be a good thing when it's raining. We kept the door open and the screens shut, and could still enjoy looking at the scenery and breathing the wonderful Hawaii air!

We have stayed in this same complex 6 times over the past 20 years. We love to location. Our first time our daughters were 4&5. This time they are 16&17. It’s beautiful, this particular unit was clean, well appointed and the communication was great.

Kauai is both beautiful and relaxing. Puu Poa condos are in a great location on the north shore with lots of restaurants within a few minutes drive. Puu Poa 107 was a nice condo with the only drawback being it is a bit dated compared to some other units (but still very acceptable).

Great location right outside 1 Hotel. Walking distance to Pu’u Poa beach at 1 Hotel. Short drive to Hanalei Bay. If you are adventurous a short trip down the path to Hideaways Beach

We chose this condo for a 2 week stay while attending our son’s wedding, followed by a family vacation. The spacious condo was very well appointed with almost every amenity you would need and in a very clean condition when we arrived. The large dining room table was perfect for our get-togethers with family members staying in another condo in Puu Poa, and the big, comfortable sofa provided plenty of seating. The bathrooms and kitchen are a little dated, but still had everything we needed. The bed in the master was so comfortable! The best thing was the awesome view of the ocean and the ability to walk right out onto the grass lawn for the gorgeous sunsets. As we are older, do be aware that all the units require some stairs - this 1st floor unit was below parking level, so several sets of stairs. Also, many of Kauai’s beaches on the north shore can only be reached by somewhat treacherous paths up and down; the Hideaway beach directly below the condos being one of them. But there are other beautiful beaches which you can directly walk out on - Hanalei Bay Beach being one that is very close. Jonathon at Aloha Hawaii Rentals was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. If staying on the North Shore, this is a wonderful condo in a beautiful location.

The condo was comfortable and nice. The kitchen was well setup and the bed was very comfortable. It could use some updating, but overall, we loved it and would stay again.

That should say it all, we had a great time and great views. Since the last time the owner upgraded to a mini split AC system that made the stay even better. Beds are always a tricky thing and the Master Bedroom was just way to soft for my wife and I... we slept in the spare room.

Lots of space for a family! Large new couch was great, the beds were very comfortable the kitchen had everything you needed including a crockpot and instapot! Great location and view of the ocean especially for whale watching season and we love the little hidden beach next to the property. It's quite a hike down but won't disappoint! I would stay here again.

This condo is nice but could use a furniture update. The main couch is leatherette (feels like plastic...) and torn all along the bottom. It looks very cheap. The other sofas seem to be old furniture from a second hand store.
Kitchen is huge- we didn’t cook at all.
Master bedroom is a bit odd with only a shutter instead of a wall or door on one side- not very private. Very nice bed, mattress comfortable and lovely Hawaiian quilt. Second bedroom is very small and feels dark. It’s odd there is no patio, only grass. Pool very nice. Location excellent.

Great location with beautiful sunset views, 5 minute walk to great snorkeling from Pali Ke Kua beach that is right below the property. Convenient shopping and restaurants. Home is spacious and clean. Management is very responsive if you need assistance.

This condo was great, I think the only thing it needed was a split AC system like I noticed some of the condo having. The breeze really doesn't move around the condo at all and it gets warm at night.

We really really enjoyed our stay. We have nothing nothing negative to say about our stay. The highlight is the view and listening to the sounds of the ocean. The unit is very spacious, especially for only two people. It was very quiet and everyone aound us was very respectful.

The view of the surf at Hideaways, especially from the living room window, was stunning. The place was clean, well furnished and well maintained. The only exception was a broken countertop in one of the bathrooms. But that did not reduce my overall satisfaction.

This was a pleasant stay. The location is fantastic. Right on the water. The condo is a great size, has everything you need. As others noted, it is very dated...the kind of dated where it doesn’t feel very clean even though it’s spotless. And this place was spotless! Probably a new paint job would cure that.
The view is incredible. Ocean from every front window. We looked for whales everyday, but didn’t see one. I bet in the height of the season there would be such a fantastic show in front. I do have to say we admired the upper floor condos as we walked to the pool. They seem to all have a giant lanai with tables and chairs outside. This condo has grass in front with no real inviting place to sit. There is a nice (and clean!) grill provided, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Someone else mentioned the soft bed. I never thought of myself as a firm mattress lover (in fact ours at home is probably right in the middle)...the mattresses in this condo are very soft. Like you sink in when you lay down. If you know you are a firm mattress person, you might consider another condo. No AC, but the fans in the bedrooms were just great. Never felt hot.
The pool is nothing to write home about. But it’s a pool...on the ocean. So there’s that. Overall we had a great stay. Awesome location in Princeville and beautiful views to be seen every morning you wake up.

I enjoyed my stay at the condo. Nice accommodations and great location However, they will be remodeling the St. Regis Princeville Hotel nearby and that worries me because it is a very good nearby place that I like to visit.
