Get DirectionsAnaina Hou Community Park and the Henry Kapono Foundation proudly present Home in the Islands Kauaʻi, a three day celebration of Hawaiʻi’s music, culture, and community, October 8 through 10 at the Porter Pavilion.
The weekend begins Thursday with From Song to Stage, a free master class for emerging musicians covering songwriting, performance, and the business of music, led by Henry Kapono, Brother Noland, Kalaʻe Parish, Kalena Parish, and Alx Kawakami. The day concludes with an Open Mic Contest and the chance to earn an opening spot at Saturday’s concert.
Friday brings Aloha Unplugged, an intimate gala dinner featuring acoustic performances and the stories behind the songs with Henry Kapono, Jerry Santos & Kamuela Kimokeo, Brother Noland, Kalaʻe & Kalena Parish, and special On The Rise artists.
The celebration culminates Saturday with Henry Kapono & Friends: Goodtimes Together, featuring The Songs of C&K alongside Jerry Santos & Kamuela Kimokeo, Brother Noland, Kalaʻe & Kalena Parish, and special On The Rise artists.
Three days of music, mentorship, and aloha celebrating Hawaiʻi’s musical legacy and the artists carrying it forward.
